Abstract
From an educational and social perspective, the family is the most important social institution in the history of human culture and civilization. It bears the greatest responsibility for the growth, development, education, and happiness of individuals in society. Based on this institution, a husband and wife live together in empathy and love, serving as the generator of human resources and a gateway to other social institutions. The elevation, excellence, and normativity of society depend on the general conditions of its families; therefore, its collapse inflicts significant damage on the body of society. Many practitioners and experts have proposed various solutions and strategies to strengthen it, some of which are incompatible with other Islamic foundations or have proven unsuccessful in practice.
Using a descriptive-analytical library-based method, this study explores the key foundations of family stability from the perspective of the Holy Quran. Its most important findings can be outlined as: “focusing on family stability,” “attention to spirituality,” “morals and politeness,” “rationality (wisdom-oriented behavior),” “empathetic partnership between husband and wife,” and “presenting a righteous generation to society.”
