Violence in the family is a social phenomenon that all societies suffer from today. So that this phenomenon in its different physical, mental, sexual and financial dimensions has become one of the important concerns of countries and international organizations. In order to choose the appropriate policy and solutions to combat this phenomenon, it is necessary to check what factors play a role in the emergence of this pervasive phenomenon. Studies show that various factors, both individual and social, are effective in the occurrence of violence in the family. In this article, by using the library and field method in terms of data collection and the narrative and experimental method in terms of the nature of the method, it was determined that among the social factors that are effective in the occurrence of violence in the family are incorrect perceptions or misuses of statements. And the Quranic teachings about the superiority of a man over a woman, the permissibility of multiplying wives during marriage and polygamy. While freeing the family from violence is considered as one of the goals of Islamic teachings.
