Abstract
The family, as the primary social institution in which an individual is nurtured, plays a key role in shaping human personality and the future. This institution is a school where the principles of social and religious life are taught, and moral values are transmitted across generations. Therefore, raising children is a natural right, the realization of which depends on the quality presence of parents, especially the mother, in the family unit.
The present research, using a descriptive-analytical method and utilizing library and digital resources, examines the negative consequences of women’s employment on two levels: individual (physical and mental) and familial (marital relationships and child-rearing). The findings show that employment outside the home, if not balanced with family responsibilities, can lead to irreparable harm to women and family members, especially children. This conclusion aligns with the emphasis of the Supreme Leader on the “Third Model” of the Muslim woman (Khamenei, 2016, statements in the gathering of elite women), which considers women’s employment conditional upon not disrupting their primary responsibilities of wifehood and motherhood.
